A leading national recruiting company is looking for a technical expert with extensive experience in Amazon AWS, cloud operations, and Unix/Linux system administration. The ideal candidate will excel in cloud migrations, database administration, and performance monitoring. Strong knowledge of networking and scripting is essential, alongside experience with ticketing systems and web/application server setup. Qualifications

• Experience managing AWS cloud environments and cloud operations.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux system administration and at scale web/app server setups.
• Strong scripting skills (Shell/Perl) and automation mindset.
• Database administration experience with Oracle/MySQL.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including IP addressing and subnetting.
• Ability to monitor and tune OS and applications for performance.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios/Opsview) and custom plugin development.
• Experience with Jira or similar ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide cloud architecture, deployment, and operational support on AWS.
• Plan and execute cloud migrations and system enhancements.
• Administer Oracle/MySQL databases and ensure availability.
• Configure and optimize web servers Apache/nginx and application server Tomcat.
• Set up LAMP/IIS Windows stacks where required and ensure security best practices.
• Develop and maintain monitoring tooling and custom plugins (Nagios/Opsview).
• Leverage networking knowledge for reliable connectivity and performance.
• Triage incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
• Support DR/HA planning with redundancy and failover strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams using Jira for ticketing and workflow.
