Job summary

Worth AI in Orlando, FL is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to strengthen our vulnerability management program, harden our AWS environment, and embed application security into how we ship software.

This project-driven role requires leading remediation end-to-end, triaging security tickets against SLAs, and collaborating with engineering, IT and compliance. You will build guardrails, participate in threat modeling, and report security metrics.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a security engineering, security analyst, or related role.
• Hands-on experience with AWS security services and concepts (IAM, VPC, GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail).
• Practical experience with vulnerability management tools and remediation workflows.
• Working knowledge of application security concepts (OWASP Top 10, SAST/DAST, dependency scanning).
• Experience managing a ticket queue against SLAs with strong ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own vulnerability management program across endpoints, servers, and cloud infrastructure.
• Triage, prioritize, and track findings through remediation with engineering/IT owners.
• Monitor remediation SLAs and escalate aging/high-severity findings.
• Maintain vulnerability management documentation and reporting.
• Improve identity management configurations and automations for security and UX.
• Harden AWS environments with IAM, security groups, S3, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config.
• Support SAST/DAST and dependency scanning in CI/CD pipelines.
• Review AppSec findings with engineering and drive remediation to closure.
• Lead security initiatives and collaborate cross-functionally to embed security in workflows.
