Booz Allen Hamilton is hiring a Cloud Application Architect to lead the design, build, and deployment of hybrid cloud architectures in cleared environments. You will work closely with current and new software development teams to migrate and solution mission-critical capabilities.
The role requires 3+ years in cloud-native AWS, DoD security, and IaC, with TS clearance expectations and relevant DoD certifications. You will translate customer needs and guide teams in secure cloud patterns.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience architecting and developing scalable, reliable cloud-native applications within AWS.
- Experience with networking for hybrid cloud environments within SIPR, TS, or JWICS.
- Experience building cloud-native microservice full-stack applications and working with DoD STIGs or CIS Benchmarks.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
- Experience with DoD cloud architecture or management, security, or networking.
- Top Secret clearance.
- HS diploma or GED.
- AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification.
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification within 60 days of start date.

- 3+ years of experience architecting and developing scalable, reliable cloud-native applications within AWS
- Experience with networking for hybrid cloud environments within SIPR, TS, or JWICS
- Experience building cloud-native microservice full-stack applications and working with DoD STIGs or CIS Benchmarks
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
- Experience with DoD impact levels or classifications, AWS cloud, databases such as SQL and NoSQL, air-gapped cloud environments, and common design patterns such as event-driven architectures and microservices
- Experience with DoD cloud architecture or management, security, or networking
- Top Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification within 60 days of start date
- Experience troubleshooting cloud-native application deployments and configurations in secured environments
- Experience working with FENCES
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or other K8S distros
- Experience promoting solutions into higher classification environments
- Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server operating systems
- Experience troubleshooting networking issues within AWS cloud
- Experience in Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
- Possession of excellent communication skills
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering
- Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
