The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a Cloud & Operational Technology (OT) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support, operate, and maintain mission-critical infrastructure with a primary focus on cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud administration, systems engineering, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity operations with experience supporting secure government environments.

In this role, you will help design, implement, and maintain secure cloud and infrastructure solutions while improving the overall security posture of enterprise systems. You will leverage cloud platforms, vulnerability management tools, security monitoring solutions, and emerging technologies to identify risks, strengthen defenses, and support mission success.

The successful candidate will have experience working with Azure or other cloud platforms, infrastructure operations, security tools, and compliance processes while collaborating with technical teams and government stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the Cyber Mission Capabilities Team (CMCT) supporting cloud, infrastructure, and operational technology environments.
  • Support the administration, operation, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure, primarily within Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Assist with the design, testing, implementation, and sustainment of secure cloud and OT solutions.
  • Evaluate and improve security controls, infrastructure configurations, vulnerability management processes, and system hardening practices.
  • Utilize enterprise security and monitoring tools such as Nessus, ACAS, Microsoft Intune, Splunk, HBSS, eMASS, Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, and ELK to monitor, assess, and improve system security.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, analyze findings, and support remediation efforts to reduce risk across networks, systems, and applications.
  • Support security authorization activities, including documentation, compliance tracking, and continuous monitoring requirements.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, and operations teams to implement security best practices and improve infrastructure resilience.
  • Assist with identifying mission-critical assets, potential risks, and operational impacts associated with cyber threats.
  • Provide technical recommendations on emerging technologies, security solutions, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Support the development of technical documentation, briefings, reports, and presentations for technical and government stakeholders.
  • Stay current on evolving cloud technologies, cybersecurity trends, and industry best practices to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Active Secret clearance or higher.
  • Certification: IAT Level II (Security+ CE, CySA+, ISC2 SSCP, CND, CCNA Security)
  • Education: BA/BS or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant Years of Experience: 7+
  • Experience supporting cloud environments, infrastructure operations, or cybersecurity engineering activities.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or another enterprise cloud platform.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and security assessment tools such as Nessus and/or ACAS.
  • Familiarity with security authorization processes, including Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.
  • Experience with eMASS or similar security compliance and authorization platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune or other endpoint management solutions.
  • Experience with SIEM and log analysis tools such as Splunk and/or ELK Stack.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security technologies, including Carbon Black and/or CrowdStrike.
  • Experience supporting enterprise networks, systems administration, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desired
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) environments.
  • Familiarity with the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE).
  • Systems administration experience with Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Networking experience with Cisco platforms, switches, routers, and enterprise network technologies.
  • Experience with VPN technologies, including WireGuard.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST RMF, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIGs.
  • Cloud or security certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CISA, CCNP or equivalent, CSSP.

$103,800 - $218,100
