Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Technical Lead for the IOAI program to bridge enterprise architecture with hands-on software development in a cloud-first environment.

You will define scalable GCP architectures, mentor cross-functional squads, and drive high-quality production code across data pipelines, policy engines, and AI workflows. This role requires 5+ years in software development and deep GCP expertise, with a focus on reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Hands-On Development: 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python proficiency.
• Cloud Architecture & GCP Expertise: 4+ years of hands-on architecture on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler).
• Modern AI & LLM Systems: Direct experience with Vertex AI (Gemini models, Agent Builder, Search) or similar frameworks.
• Data Contracts & System Design: Experience designing distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and canonical data models.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical enterprise experience.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Architecture Strategy: Architect scalable cloud solutions on GCP and enforce design patterns across layers.
• Bridge Architecture & Squad Delivery: Translate roadmaps into milestones with clear interface contracts.
• Hands‑On Software Engineering: Develop microservices in Python hosted on GCP Cloud Run; build deterministic policy engines.
• AI, GraphRAG & Retrieval Orchestration: Architect agentic workflows and grounding pipelines with Vertex AI tools.
• Security, Observability & FinOps: Implement ABAC, CI/CD, and end-to-end observability.
