Job summary

CTG is seeking a Cloud AI/ML Technical Project Manager for a remote, 12-month engagement guiding end-to-end delivery of cloud-based AI/ML initiatives. You will lead cross-functional teams of data scientists, engineers, and client stakeholders to align scope, schedule, and budget with business goals.

The role requires deep knowledge of GCP/AWS/Azure, Vertex AI, and ML frameworks, plus strong communication and leadership to navigate complex technical challenges and ensure on-time, on-spec results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Cloud/AI/PM certifications are a plus.
• Experience with cloud, AI/ML and PM roles preferred.
• Excellent English communication.

CTG is seeking to fill a Cloud AI/ML Technical Project Manager position for our client.

Duties

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud-based AI/ML and Generative AI projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Lead technical teams and collaborate with client project managers, architects, engineers, developers, and data scientists.
• Drive Agile delivery, Design Thinking, cloud migration, modernization, refactoring, containerization, APIs, microservices, and Kubernetes initiatives.
• Support AI/ML solutions using LLMs and cloud services such as Google Vertex AI, Dialogflow, Gemini, AWS, and Azure.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and resolution of complex cloud, application, infrastructure, and AI/ML issues.
• Ensure project deliverables meet technical requirements, timelines, and client expectations.

Skills

• Cloud technologies: GCP, AWS, and/or Azure.
• Generative AI, LLMs, and machine learning model development/deployment.
• Google Cloud AI/ML services including Vertex AI, Dialogflow, and Gemini.
• AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, and/or Ray.
• Knowledge of GPUs, TPUs, transformers, encoders, decoders, and ML APIs.
• Compute fundamentals including virtualization, containers, operating systems, and system administration.
• Kubernetes, microservices, APIs, and cloud modernization.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to read code in Python, Java, C/C++, Go, JavaScript, Shell, or similar languages.
• Strong project management, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience

• 7–10 years of experience in technology, cloud solutions, technical project management, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience with machine learning model development and deployment.
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• 5 years of experience reading code or working with system design.
• Hands-on project delivery experience with at least one major cloud platform such as GCP, AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams and complex cloud or AI/ML projects.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• Relevant cloud, AI/ML, or project management certifications are a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $45.00 to $52.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
