Bass Pro Shops in Cheektowaga, NY is hiring an Apparel Processing Outfitter for a part-time role. You will process apparel shipments, stock and replenish the sales floor, assist with pricing and signage, and support a clean, organized backroom.

Strong customer service and basic merchandising knowledge are needed. Starting pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.75 per hour with part-time benefits including dental, vision, 401k, paid holidays and vacations, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience not required, but ability to learn and perform duties is essential.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Process apparel shipments from receipt to back stock and sales floor.
• Replenish merchandise to the sales floor per Visual Merchandising Standards.
• Assist with pricing maintenance and signage.
• Unload trucks as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain clean, organized work areas.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Apparel Processing Outfitter is responsible for the overall processing of all apparel merchandise shipments from receipt of goods to stocking on Sales Floor & Receiving.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Effectively processes all apparel merchandise at time of receipt, adhering to all Visual Merchandising & MPS Standards, and utilizing the inventory management system. 50%
• Systematically replenishes merchandise to the sales floor as required per the Visual Merchandising Standards utilizing the inventory management system. 10%
• Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales to promote effective backroom organization and replenishment. 10%
• Unloads trucks as needed. 10%
• Assists with pricing maintenance and signage of merchandise. 5%
• Keeps work area clean, neat, organized and well stocked with supplies. 5%
• Ensure backstock merchandise remains organized and accessible. 5%
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service and ensures a pleasant shopping experience for all guests. 5%
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Ability to use company computer systems and devices such as System Two, RF/Gizmo devices & Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to process and organize information to include plan-o-grams, visual guides & merchandising standards.
• Ability to review replenishment reporting to organize merchandise to fill the sales floor.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other outfitters.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers.

Regularly walks, stands, and does computer work.

Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.

Seldom/Never sits.

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Starting Pay Rate: $16.00 - $18.75
