Bass Pro Shops in Harlingen, TX is hosting a national hiring event for a seasonal Apparel Processing Outfitter. On-the-spot interviews will be conducted for various roles, with opportunities to earn during the holidays and enjoy the Outfitter Discount.

The position processes apparel shipments from receipt to stocking on the sales floor, follows Visual Merchandising standards, and uses the inventory system. Flexibility for part-time hours is typical for seasonal roles.

Responsibilities

• Process apparel merchandise at receipt per Visual Merchandising & MPS standards using the inventory system (50%).
• Replenish merchandise to sales floor per Visual Merchandising Standards (10%).
• Stay knowledgeable of advertised sales to promote backroom organization and replenishment (10%).
• Unload trucks as needed (10%).
• Assist with pricing maintenance and signage of merchandise (5%).
• Keep work area clean, neat, stocked with supplies (5%).
• Ensure backstock merchandise remains organized and accessible (5%).
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and ensure a pleasant shopping experience (5%).
• All other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Apparel Processing Outfitter is responsible for the overall processing of all apparel merchandise shipments from receipt of goods to stocking on Sales Floor & Receiving.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Effectively processes all apparel merchandise at time of receipt, adhering to all Visual Merchandising & MPS Standards, and utilizing the inventory management system. 50%
• Systematically replenishes merchandise to the sales floor as required per the Visual Merchandising Standards utilizing the inventory management system. 10%
• Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales to promote effective backroom organization and replenishment. 10%
• Unloads trucks as needed. 10%
• Assists with pricing maintenance and signage of merchandise. 5%
• Keeps work area clean, neat, organized and well stocked with supplies. 5%
• Ensure backstock merchandise remains organized and accessible. 5%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Ability to use company computer systems and devices such as System Two, RF/Gizmo devices & Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to process and organize information to include plan-o-grams, visual guides & merchandising standards.
• Ability to review replenishment reporting to organize merchandise to fill the sales floor.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other outfitters.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regularly walks, stands, and does computer work.
• Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.
• Seldom/Never sits.
