Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced Mechanisms Engineer to own the design and release of closures mechanisms for EV platforms. You will collaborate with studio and engineering teams, using CATIA V5/6 and 3DX, Confluence and JIRA to ensure robust, cost-effective solutions across the product lifecycle.
You will apply statics, dynamics, and mechatronics knowledge to develop prototypes and validate designs from concept through industrialization, while interfacing with suppliers and
We made history and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.
Product Creation and Industrialization (PC&I) brings together Ford’s vehicle, electric, digital and design teams with our global manufacturing system. Working as one end-to-end organization, we turn ideas into high-quality vehicles, software and experiences across gas, hybrid and electric, designed around what customers need.
As a Mechanisms Engineer, you’ll use your technical expertise to wholistically drive complex mechanism design problems to completion. You’ll work amongst the team to scope work, plan requirements, identify risks, estimate budgets, and clearly communicate ongoing progress of the sealing system.
You will be working on a small high performing team that will have a high interaction and collaboration quotient to deliver fully integrated EV vehicle sealing systems that achieve aspirational targets associated with cost, weight, efficiency, and exceed operational tolerances required to deliver the ambitious project scope. Engineering trade-offs are minimized by the development of solutions and innovations to minimize settling for an inferior product or solution. This team will be highly technical in nature and will come from engineering and data centric team environments that have had to deliver the holistic end to end engineering life cycle from ideation through design, engineering, test and ensuring efficient industrialization. This environment is not for everyone but will enrich the best talent with the opportunity to perform some of the best work of their careers.
