Chick-fil-A | Cincinnati, OH Full-time | $27/hour (approx. $55,000–$74,000/year with overtime) | Closed Sundays

We're opening a brand-new Chick-fil-A, and you'd be on the founding team.

A great shift doesn't happen by accident. Somebody built it. We're looking for the person who owns what happens inside our four walls - the speed, the accuracy, the cleanliness, and the team that delivers all three.

You'd build those systems from scratch instead of inheriting someone else's. You'll help hire the opening team and set the standards on day one. Most operations leaders spend years fixing habits somebody else created. You get to skip that.

What you'll own
  • Run the floor during peak periods: staffing the right positions, spotting bottlenecks, keeping speed of service on target
  • Own drive-thru, kitchen, and front-counter performance against daily goals
  • Solve guest issues on the spot and follow up on the ones that need it

Food safety and quality

  • Own daily food safety standards, temp logs, and cleaning routines
  • Lead prep for health inspections and internal audits
  • Hold the line on product quality, especially when it's busy
  • Train, coach, and develop shift leaders and team members
  • Run onboarding so a new hire's first two weeks actually stick
  • Give real feedback, document it, and help people get better

Systems and cost control

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and waste
  • Build schedules that hit labor targets without burning people out
What we're looking for

You don't need a restaurant background or a degree. You need judgment, calm under pressure, and a genuine interest in helping people improve.

  • You stay steady when things get chaotic
  • You'd rather teach someone than do it yourself the second time
  • You're comfortable holding a standard, including with people you like
  • Available for closing shifts, including Saturdays

Experience that counts, even if it was never this job title: managing any team, retail or food service, coaching, teaching, military service, warehouse or logistics leadership, or running operations for anything with a lot of moving parts.

If you read this and thought I could do most of that, apply. We'd rather train the right person than hire the right résumé.

Pay and schedule
  • Up to $27 hourly per hour; approximately 45 hours per week, overtime at time-and-a-half
  • Paid training before we open
  • Closed Sundays. Always.
  • Health, dental, and vision; paid time off; 401(k) with match; free meals on shift
  • Scholarship opportunities and a path toward higher-level leadership
  • Always have mornings free. The job schedule is between 2pm-midnight.

Opening a restaurant is intense. The first few months are long, and we'd rather tell you now than after you say yes.

This restaurant is an independently owned and operated Chick-fil-A franchise and an equal opportunity employer.
