Job summary

Up Closets of Rhode Island is seeking independent contractors to install custom closet systems in homes and small businesses across Rhode Island. You will translate designs into finished, functional spaces with careful measurements on site.

Work is project-based with pay at $25.00–$35.00 per hour as a 1099 contractor. We provide tools, uniforms, training, and flexible scheduling to support quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Blueprints and schematics reading required.
• Experience with carpentry tools and installation equipment.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and perform on-site tasks.

Deliver custom storage installations by turning design plans into finished, functional spaces. This role calls for strong problem-solving skills, the ability to measure, cut, and adapt materials on site, and the discipline to complete projects accurately and on schedule.

Job Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Proficient with common carpentry tools and installation equipment
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and perform physical tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality work
• Valid driver's license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Carpentry, cabinetry, or technical/vocational training preferred
• Experience assembling or installing furniture
• Background in custom, trim, or cabinet carpentry is a plus
