J&B Pharmacy Services Inc in Michigan is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to perform many pharmacy-related functions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and to handle administrative tasks as required.

The position is full-time with a 40-hour minimum, involving inventory management, data entry, prescription preparation, and patient communication, while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Pharmacy Technician.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training course or minimum one year on-the-job training.
• Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required; state licensing as required.
• Intermediate-advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Background check and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares prescriptions and products for dispensing by the pharmacist.
• Makes requisitions for drugs, products and supplies with guidance from the pharmacist.
• Orders, receives, and maintains inventory of drugs, products, and chemicals.
• Maintains an orderly, clean environment including stock and supplies.
• Enters data into the computer system for prescriptions, PO's, stock orders.
• Removes outdated drugs from stock and disposes per regulatory guidelines.
• Performs general clerical duties for the department.
• Packages and ships medications and products for delivery.
• Interacts with patients via phone, email, and messages in the pharmacy system.
• Yearly Pestle compliance training.
