Job summary

Symetra Financial Corporation seeks an Associate CLO Research Analyst to support surveillance and evaluation of a $10+ billion CLO portfolio. You’ll analyze new issues, monitor performance, and help improve analytical tools within a small, experienced team. Hybrid role based in Farmington, CT.

You’ll develop skills across structured products with exposure to collateral review, manager evaluation, and reporting enhancements.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in finance or related field.
• Strong interest in capital markets and intellectual curiosity.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities with attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets.
• Experience or interest in Power BI or data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Support surveillance and monitoring of the CLO portfolio and analyze new opportunities.
• Perform cash flow analysis, evaluate transaction structures, and review collateral.
• Assist due diligence of CLO collateral managers and monitor performance data.
• Develop and improve analytical tools and reporting processes.
• Collaborate in a small team to gain broader exposure to structured products.
