Job summary

Citizen Advocates in Malone, NY is seeking a full-time Clinician-Licensed to maintain a client caseload and lead treatment planning with supervision. You will conduct biopsychosocial assessments, provide individual/group/family therapy, and collaborate with community resources to support mental health and substance use recovery.

Master’s degree in social work or mental health and licensed-eligibility are required, with continuing education and experience with MH/SUD populations preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or mental health from an accredited school.
• Licensed eligible; if licensed, track and maintain licensure status.
• Continuing professional education required.
• Experience working with mental health and substance use populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial history assessment with client strengths and preferences.
• Assist clients in creating and maintaining person-centered treatment plans.
• Attend weekly staff meetings, treatment teams, and supervision.
• Complete mandatory documentation in the EHR within regulatory timelines.
• Empower clients and support choices respecting diversity and orientation.
• Provide linkage to community resources by staying informed on services and referrals.
• Provide crisis management services by appointment or walk-in.
• Develop discharge plans in collaboration with clients and families.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling for mental health and/or substance use.
• Collaborate with local agencies (DSS, Probation, Drug Court).
• Complete urine drug screens on clients.
• Comply with OMH, OASAS, NYS and Federal regulations and ethics.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 SalaryThe Clinician- Licensed is responsible for maintaining a client caseload in which they identify goals and objectives to help improve emotional, social, and daily functioning with support from a clinical supervisor.

Essential Functions (Job Duties)

1. 1. Complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial history assessment that includes the client’s problems and strengths and preferences, including cultural, religious, and ethnic background.
2. 2. Responsible for assisting clients in creating and maintaining person centered treatment plans
3. 3. Attends weekly staff meetings, treatment teams and supervision.
4. 4. Completes mandatory documentation on EHR within timelines established by applicable regulations.
5. 5. Empowers clients and encourages client’s choice in matters affecting them, demonstrating receptive attitudes and sensitivity to choices based on racial, cultural and ethnic heritage, and sexual orientation.
6. 6. Provides linkage with appropriate community resources by maintaining knowledge of other systems, making referrals and identifying unmet needs (e.g., recreational transportation, adaptive phone equipment, insurance eligibility, etc.).
7. 7. Provides clients and families with crisis management services by appointment or walk-in.
8. 8. Develops a comprehensive discharge plan in collaboration with clients, clients’ families, multidisciplinary staff, and referral agencies.
9. 9. Provide individual, group and/or family counseling for mental health and/or substance use.
10. 10. Ability to collaborate with other local agencies (DSS, Probation, Drug Court).
11. 11. Complete urine drug screens on clients.
12. 12. Comply with Office of Mental Health (OMH), Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), NewYork State and Federal regulations, laws, and ethical guidelines.

QualificationsPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a Full-Time position.

Workweek schedule: Provided by Manager.

Hours and schedules may vary depending on Company need and workload. Employees will be given as much advance notice as possible when such changes occur.

Travel

Occasional, meetings, possible home visits.

Required Education and Experience
