Tampa General Hospital invites a skilled Clinician to join Labor and Delivery on-site at our Tampa campus. This role emphasizes advanced nursing practice, direct patient care, and unit leadership to support high-acuity obstetric patients.

The Clinician will develop individualized care plans, collaborate across disciplines, ensure timely documentation, and participate in staff development and regulatory initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in an acute care or specialty clinical setting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse License from FL DOH or multistate.
• RNC-OB and C-EFM preferred; required within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Deliver and coordinate advanced nursing care using assessment and clinical reasoning.
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized, goal-directed care plans.
• Identify and intervene in clinical situations requiring escalation or rapid response.
• Serve as a clinical resource and team leader for nursing staff.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership on unit operations, patient flow, staffing, and resources.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Support performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives at unit and organizational levels.
• Delegate and supervise clinical activities based on staff competency and patient needs.
• Participate in orientation, precepting, and ongoing staff development.

Description

Clinicians provide advanced professional nursing care, applying independent clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills to manage high-acuity patient populations. The role integrates direct patient care with unit-level clinical leadership, supporting care coordination, patient safety, and operational effectiveness. The Clinician collaborates with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure care delivery aligns with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational priorities.

Essential Functions:

• Deliver and coordinate advanced nursing care using comprehensive assessment, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based practice.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized, goal-directed plans of care.
• Identify, communicate, and intervene in clinical situations requiring escalation or rapid response.
• Serve as a clinical resource and team leader for nursing staff, particularly in high-risk or emergent situations.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership on unit operations, including patient flow, staffing coordination, and resource utilization.
