Job summary

Theuniversityunion seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide on-call and scheduled psychotherapy for individuals, families, and groups within the Southside PHP program. The role includes clinical supervision, evaluation, and case management, aligned with the center's dignity and respect philosophy.

The candidate will document services, support inpatient/outpatient coverage, and conduct regular supervision sessions while maintaining high ethical and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in a clinical field.
• Four to ten years related experience and/or training.
• Three years post master's clinical experience.
• Three years experience/training in child/adolescent psychiatric setting.
• Clinical degree required (i.e. LPC, LPCi, Psychologist, etc.).
• CPR/First Aid; preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical services to individuals and families in psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and parent training; psycho-educational instruction; psychosocial assessment; and discharge planning.
• Document services provided.
• Be available to provide services at Main campus in Inpatient and/or Outpatient during PHP closures.
• Schedule and complete quarterly clinical/administrative supervision sessions.
• Coordinate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and external customers.
• Produce clinical documentation meeting Center standards for quality and timeliness.
• Practice within ethical standards of the Center and state licensing board.
• Screen, triage, assess and manage patients in crisis.
• Initiate and coordinate transfer to psychiatric inpatient bed.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide "on call" individual, group and family psychotherapy; provides clinical supervision; conducts clinical evaluations and other clinical and case management functions as assigned. Writes appropriate clinical documents and effectively presents clinical information verbally. Appropriately support and implement Center’s Treatment Philosophy of Dignity, Respect and Understanding of our patients.

THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION

• Provide competent clinical services to individual, families, as assigned, in the areas of individual psychotherapy, family psychotherapy and parent training; group psychotherapy, psycho-educational instruction; psychosocial assessment; and discharge planning in the Southside PHP program
• Document services provided
• Availability to provide services at Main campus in Inpatient and/or Outpatient during times when PHP is closed.
• Schedules and completes three quarterly clinical/administrative supervision sessions annually prior to the quarter in which performance evaluation is due
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with, and is responsive to, patients and families, medical staff, internal and external customers
• Provide clinical documentation of service that meets Center standards for quality and timeliness
• Practice within the ethical standards of the Center and state licensing board
