Job summary

Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is seeking a Clinician in our Ponderay (Sandpoint) field office to strengthen health and independence for Idahoans. Work includes collaboration with community providers, hospitals, law enforcement, and courts, with opportunities for growth and supervision toward licensure.

The role offers a supportive team, exposure to multiple systems, and a path toward clinical proficiency, with limited telework after probation and training.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or higher) in a direct clinical practice Human Services field.
• Eligible for appointment as a Designated Examiner with required licensure (LMSW/LCSW, LPC, or LMFT).

Responsibilities

• Formulates assessments, evaluations, and therapeutic recommendations.
• Advocates for clients and families.
• Applies clinical skills to assess client's/family needs.
• Provides Forensic Services.
• Coordinates program with other services and community providers.
• Evaluates treatment effectiveness and client/family outcomes.
• Serves as a designated examiner and dispositioner.
