Job summary

Elwyn seeks a Clinician to plan, monitor, and improve clinical services for adults in a Residential Treatment Facility. You will assess, treat, and supervise behavioral plans within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Formulate comprehensive assessments for client's strengths, weaknesses, and development areas.
  • Create and implement treatment plans with the treatment team.
  • Engage clients in developing personal goals during psychotherapy.
  • Maintain therapy progress notes.
  • Coordinate with treatment team psychiatrist for treatment review.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure cohesive treatment.
  • Provide psychotherapies as clinically indicated in individual and group sessions.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and hospitalization as needed.
  • Offer consultation on psychological/therapeutic services to the team.
  • Train treatment team on behavioral and treatment plans.
  • Develop and supervise behavior/treatment plans with interdisciplinary input.
  • Conduct FBAs and develop necessary materials for goals.
  • Participate in MCO clinical reviews.
  • Attend clinical supervision with the Clinical Director.
  • Attend required staff meetings.
  • Perform CPR and crisis intervention per protocols.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Elwyn seeks a Clinician to be responsible for planning, monitoring, and improving overall clinical services delivered to adults residing in the Residential Treatment Facility (RTF).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate comprehensive assessments for assigned client's strengths, weaknesses, and areas for development and growth in accordance with program and funding regulations
  • Devise a treatment plan, with the client and the treatment team, and assist in implementing the treatment goals and objectives
  • Engage the client in participating in the development of personal goals and objectives for the duration of psychotherapy
  • Maintain therapy progress notes
  • Maintain contact with treatment team psychiatrist to review and monitor the course of treatment
  • Maintain contact with other clinical staff on the treatment team to ensure cohesiveness in treatment
  • Provide the necessary psychotherapies in conjunction with medical necessity and client needs through both individual and group sessions
  • Assist in crisis intervention and hospitalization as necessary
  • Provide assistance, support, and consultation on matters of psychological/therapeutic service and clinical treatment to the mental health services treatment team and others as pertinent
  • Train all members of the treatment team on behavioral/treatment plans
  • Create, maintain and supervise the behavior/treatment plan with active participation of the interdisciplinary team
  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Analysis (FBAs) when necessary, clinical interventions, as well as developing the necessary auxiliary materials to assist assigned clients in their treatment/behavioral goals
  • Conduct Managed Care Organizations (MCO) reviews including clinical reviews of clients assigned
  • Participate in routine clinical supervision with the Clinical Director
  • Attend administrative staff meetings as required
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), crisis intervention and medication administration using agency trained protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and/or Counseling Psychology
  • Two years mental health experience with adults
  • Familiarity with application of behavioral analytic treatment approaches
  • Knowledge and ability to administer standardized psychological and behavioral assessments
  • Ability to analyze and report on behavioral data
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little or no need for direct supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions
  • Must be able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols
  • Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Access, Publisher and report-writer experience preferred
  • Must possess a current, valid driver's license in state of residence, have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving record
