Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited two-year PTA program and licensed in the state.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds.
• Travel within a local area as needed for patient treatment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, therapy staff and facility personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering programs involving passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction and heat, and modalities.
• Instruct, motivate and assist patients to learn and improve skills.
• Observe patients during treatments and report progress to rehab director.
• Assist in evaluation of daily living skills to determine abilities and limitations.
• Document patient progress toward established goals.
• Maintain infection control precautions and safety standards.
• Maintain billing records.
• Attend seminars and other educational programs to maintain licensure.
