Zusammenfassung

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an AH Clinical Veterinarian to provide medical and husbandry care for animals at our Georgia facilities, guiding study support teams and ensuring compliance with IACUC, USDA AWAR and AAALAC/Guides.

You will design health programs, contribute to experimental design, and mentor animal care staff while navigating a highly regulated environment; US licensure and DEA may be required.

Qualifikationen

• DVM / VMD from AVMA-accredited veterinary school with licensure to practice in the United States.
• Possess or ability to acquire licensure to practice in Georgia; DEA license eligibility.
• Minimum of one year of clinical veterinary experience.
• Experience in highly regulated environments (USDA, FDA) preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Aufgaben

• Provides state of the art veterinary medical, surgical and husbandry care for all animals at the site.
• Leads design, creation, and implementation of an animal health monitoring system.
• Develops and updates Standard Operating Procedures and On-the-Job training for animal and veterinary care programs.
• May manage veterinary and animal care teams and direct them in medical and husbandry care of the animals.
• Supports scientists and study support teams with guidance on study design, biosecurity, and regulatory requirements (IACUC, USDA and AAALAC/Guides).
• Applies knowledge of GLP, GCP, USDA AWAR, Guides, IACUC.
• Provides expert advice for site-specific and department programs such as biosecurity, sanitation, medical equipment, preventive health programs, and animal sourcing.
