Penn Medicine in Lancaster, PA is seeking a part-time Unit Clerk to support the nurse’s station and coordinate clerical tasks across the unit. You will transcribe orders, maintain patient records, and communicate with physicians, staff, patients and families, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth daily operations in a busy hospital environment.

Strong organizational skills, computer experience, and familiarity with medical terminology are preferred as you help ensure quality patient care

Competenze

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year of computer experience.
• Preference for secretarial experience and medical terminology knowledge.

Mansioni

• Transcribes orders from patient charts onto charts and medication sheets.
• Maintains patient records, files reports, and ensures chart completeness.
• Coordinates communication with physicians, staff, patients and families by phone and intercom.
• Documents unit activity such as census, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
