University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a Clinical Data Manager to oversee data collection, processing and quality control for multiple clinical trials in oncology. The role involves coordinating with clinical and regulatory staff, reviewing medical records, and ensuring protocol adherence.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in science or related field and at least one year of healthcare research experience; IRB/IATA certification is preferred or to be completed within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in science or related field.
• At least 1 year experience in a healthcare research setting.
• IRB and IATA certification preferred or must be completed within 90 days of employment.
• Experience with electronic medical records and oncology/hematology research is a plus.
• Knowledge of research methods and data management concepts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage clinical trial data collection, processing and quality control across studies.
• Abstract information from medical records and sponsor databases according to protocol.
• Prepare documents and coordinate study teams for compliance monitors and audits.
• Handle, process, and ship specimens per study guidelines and safety rules.
• Maintain study kit stock and other research supplies.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.
