Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, seeks an experienced leader to oversee enterprise clinical trial contracting activities for industry-sponsored research across Advocate Health and Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

You will direct contract administration operations, supervise staff, ensure compliant negotiation and execution of CTAs and related agreements, and drive process improvements to accelerate study activation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience in research administration or related field.
Minimum seven (7) years in clinical research, research administration, or related healthcare research environment.
Minimum three (3) years of leadership or management experience overseeing research administration staff.

Responsibilities

Provide operational leadership for enterprise clinical research contracting activities across Advocate Health and Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Design and direct the contract administration team, including coaching and workload allocation.
Oversee negotiation and management of CTAs, CDAs, MCTAs, amendments, and related agreements.
Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Develop standardized contract templates, workflows, and negotiation strategies to reduce study startup timelines.
Collaborate with investigators and stakeholders to facilitate study activation and resolve issues.
Provide guidance on high‑risk or complex negotiations involving IP, publication rights, and data use.
