Job summary

ACC in Oakland, Troy, MI is seeking a Therapist to provide crisis intervention and individual, group, conjoint and family therapy within our CARF-accredited Behavioral Health Division. The role carries a client caseload and requires collaboration with a diverse client base.

Requirements include a Masters in Social Work, Michigan licensure, at least one year of relevant experience, and the ability to enter and retrieve data.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or equivalent in mental health.
• Michigan license/registration to practice clinically (LLMSW/LMSW/LLPC/LPC/LLP/LP).
• At least one year of experience in mental health or human services.
• Background check completed.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Data entry and computer systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and therapy (individual, group, conjoint, family).
• Maintain a client caseload within program limits set by the Coordinator.
• Serve clients from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
• Assess, formulate and implement clinical assessments and treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records per funding source requirements and policies.
• Attend regular staff meetings and supervision for treatment discussions.
• Participate in in-service programs to improve service delivery.
• Maintain direct service productivity at 60%.
• Complete peer reviews and collaborate with Quality Department.
• Complete 24 hours of Child Specific continuing education per year, if applicable.

What does a Therapist at ACC do?

• Provide crisis intervention, individual, group, conjoint and family therapy.
• Carries a client caseload not to exceed the appropriate number set by the Program Coordinator.
• Works with people from various socio‑economic and cultural backgrounds in a treatment capacity.
• Assess, formulate and implement clinical assessments, treatment plans.
• Responsible for clinical case record‑keeping for each case assigned, in compliance with funding source requirements and procedural policies.
• Attends regular clinical staff meetings and supervision for discussion of treatment of client cases.
• Participates in in‑service programs and seminars to increase skill level and improve service delivery to clients.
• Maintain productivity of direct services at 60%.
• Complete Peer Reviews and work in collaboration with the Quality Department to ensure the standards of the agency
• Participates in 24 hours of Child Specific continuing education training per fiscal year, if applicable.

Qualifications: What do we need from you?

Individual must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work or equivalent degree in a field related to mental health from an accredited college or university.

Current registration to practice clinical work from the State of Michigan Department of Licensing is required (LLMSW/LMSW/LLPC/LPC/LLP/LP).Must have at least one year of experience in the field of mental health or human services.

• Completion of a background check.

• Must be able to enter and retrieve data using computer systems, systems applications, and other office equipment.
