Job summary

The Women’s Home is seeking a Clinical Therapist for the Passages Intensive Outpatient Program. You will provide direct services to clients with substance use, co-occurring, or mental health diagnoses, including individual, group, and family counseling.

Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, crisis counseling, and collaboration with residential and outpatient teams. A master’s degree and relevant licensure are required, with strong documentation and teamwork skills essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
• Licensure or certification (LPC-A, LMSW, LCSW, or QCC) required/preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in mental health.
• LCDC preferred.
• Trauma-informed, client-centered approach is essential.
• Chemical dependency treatment experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction models (12-step, CBT, MI).
• Experience with co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Title:Clinical Therapist – IOP

Reports To: Senior Director of IOP

Status:Full Time – Exempt

Hours:Flexible hybrid schedule available: Day (Mon–Fri, 8a.–5p.) or evening (1p - 9p); with one Saturday per month.

Location: Montrose Campus; Spring Branch Campus; Community Locations

Works Closely With: Residential Team and Outpatient Services Team.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing direct services to clients who have a substance use disorder diagnosis, a co-occurring disorder, or other mental health diagnosis.Services include individual and group counseling, family counseling, couple counseling and psychoeducational groups, sober community building activities.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Provide Individual therapy to clients participating in the Passages Intensive Outpatient Program.
2. Facilitate or co-facilitate various group for adults
3. Provide family and couples counseling as needed
4. Facilitate/supervise client study of recovery-oriented materials and offer support/guidance
5. Conduct full clinical assessments on each client
6. Develop treatment and discharge plans with clients
7. Provide crisis counseling, suicide assessments and support as needed to clients
8. Document and file all notes in timely manner that meets all compliance regulations.
9. Act as advocate and liaison w/other service providers and staff members when appropriate
10. Provide services aimed at relapse prevention
11. Provide psycho-educational groups/ programs
12. Participate in treatment and discharge planning for clients
13. Participate in IOP Team meetings
14. Participate in Full Treatment Team meetings
15. Participate in case staffings
16. Participate in sober social events with agency

Other Responsibilities

1. Participate in clinical staff meetings, WholeLife® collaborative team meetings, and supervision
2. Participate in all-staff and other meetings designated by The Women’s Home
3. Assist in marketing of Intensive Outpatient Program Services.
4. Assist in the recruitment and selection of on-site counseling and supportive services that will complement existing services and fill a community need.
5. Attend and assist with planning, organizing, and facilitating events and activities at the both campuses.
6. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other related field
2. LPC-A, LMSW, LCSW, QCC
3. 2-4 years of experience working in the field of mental health
4. LCDC preferred
5. Practice from a client centered, trauma informed perspective
6. Chemical Dependency treatment experience preferred
7. Knowledge and experience with various chemical dependency models (i.e. 12 step, CBT, Motivational Interviewing)
8. Working with co-occurring experience strongly preferred
9. Basic knowledge of how to access community resources
10. Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
11. Experience working with community collaborations preferred
12. Valid Texas Driver’s License
