The Riverside University Health System – Behavioral Health Department is currently recruiting for a First Episode Psychosis Clinical Therapist I/II position at its Riverside location.
The Clinical Therapist I/II provides comprehensive diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic services for Transitional Age Youth (12–26) experiencing Serious Mental Illness, including psychosis. This role requires strong skills in diagnosis, assessment, and risk/crisis management, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. The Clinical Therapist I/II will provide both field-based and clinic-based services, conducts crisis interventions and safety planning, and supports clients and families through evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
The most competitive Clinical Therapist I/II will have experience with and feel confident working with psychosis and high-acuity mental health needs, while maintaining thorough documentation and adhering to ethical and clinical standards.
This recruitment is eligible for a 10% DTR differential that is applied to hours worked. At any time, this differential can be removed.
Clinical Therapist I: $66,386 - $95,851
Clinical Therapist II: $76,470 - $108,870
9/80, Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Off Non-Payday Friday)

Salary Range: $31.91 - $46.08 Hourly
Salary Range: $36.76 - $52.34 Hourly
Possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related behavioral science field.
Clinical Therapist I must have possession of a valid certificate of registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Clinical Therapist II must have possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences.
License/Certificate: Possession of a valid California Driver’s License may be required.
Possession of valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificates issued by the American Heart Association may be required.
The Human Resources Department may coordinate a Bilingual (Spanish) Non-Proctored Assessment, which will be required for positions designated as bilingual.
