Job summary

Mercyhealth in Wisconsin seeks a licensed psychotherapy professional to join a multidisciplinary team. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, develop individual treatment plans, and deliver behavioral health care within licensed scope.

Collaboration with psychiatrists/NPs and crisis intervention are key parts of the role. The role involves working with pediatric to geriatric patients, with strong emphasis on documentation, discharge planning, and community referrals.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
  • Licensed to independently provide psychotherapy in Wisconsin (LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
  • TACT Certified Level II and CPR certification (as assigned by supervisor).
  • Passing background checks as required.

Responsibilities

  • Completes psychosocial assessments and treatment plans with patient and multidisciplinary team.
  • Conducts comprehensive assessment prior to beginning therapy.
  • Develops treatment plans with patient addressing identified goals.
  • Delivers behavioral health care per evaluation and treatment plan.

Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Completes psychosocial assessments and treatment plans in cooperation with patient and multidisciplinary team.
  • Conducts a comprehensive assessment of the clinical needs of each patient prior to beginning individual, family or group therapy.
  • Works collaboratively with the patient to develop a treatment plan addressing patient's identified treatment goals.
  • Delivers behavioral health care in accordance with patient evaluation, treatment plan and within the scope of their license.
  • Works directly in treatment relationship with patients, individually or in groups, in consultation with Psychiatrist/NP.
  • Provides crisis assessment and intervention.
  • Consults and coordinates care of patient with physician/NP, therapists and community agencies.
  • Provides appropriate discharge planning.
  • Refers patient or patient's family to other community resources.
  • Participates in clinical collaboration and/or psychiatry supervision to discuss cases and determine appropriate course of treatment.
  • Maintains pertinent patient data and documentation in medical record in accordance with state, TJC and Mercyhealth system guidelines.
  • Attends required meetings or staffing as indicated by Program Manager.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all Mercy Health System, State and JCAHO policies and regulations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or other related field and appropriate level of field experience and coursework.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
  • Licensed to independently provide psychotherapy in Wisconsin (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
  • TACT Certified Level II (as assigned by supervisor)
  • CPR Certified (as assigned by supervisor)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Passing the Driver's License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).
  • Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.
  • Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION

Supervised by the Clinical Supervisor, Psychiatry staff members and/or Program Supervisor Manager. Requires a high level of independent judgment. The position has the potential for substantial latitude and independent action.

SUPERVISES

May supervise student interns as assigned.

PAY RANGE:

PAY RANGE: $59,973.61 - $92,959.11
