Job summary

America’s Community Council in Detroit seeks a compassionate Clinical Therapist to support individuals and families on their journey toward healing. The role includes crisis intervention, individual, group, conjoint, and family therapy, with a 60% direct-service productivity target.

Candidates must hold a Master's in Social Work or related field, be licensed in Michigan, and demonstrate strong communication and documentation skills. The position requires one weekly late shift from 12:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related mental health field.
• Current licensure in Michigan (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, LLP, or LP).
• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, individual, group, conjoint and family therapy.
• Carry a client caseload not to exceed the appropriate number set by the Program Coordinator.
• Work with people from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds in a treatment capacity.
• Assess, formulate and implement clinical assessments, treatment plans.
• Be responsible for clinical case record-keeping for each case assigned, in compliance with funding source requirements and procedural policies.
• Attend regular clinical staff meetings and supervision for discussion of treatment of client cases.
• Participate in in-service programs and seminars to increase skill level and improve service delivery to clients.
• Maintain productivity of direct services at 60%.
• Complete Peer Reviews and work in collaboration with the Quality Department to ensure the standards of the agency.
• Participate in 24 hours of Child Specific continuing education training per fiscal year, if applicable.

What does a Therapist at ACC do?

• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
• Proficiency in computer systems for clinical documentation and reporting.
• Bilingual in English & Arabic is desired but not required.
