Job summary

Waukesha County Human Resources seeks a Clinical Therapist to review and attest psychosocial rehabilitation needs, file required authorization statements, and provide feedback on initial assessments and summaries. The role includes sign-off on assessments, collaboration with the CCS team, and delivering individual, group, and family psychotherapy.

  • Advanced Practice Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor in Training, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Training, status as a minimum.
  • Two years of post-bachelor work experience in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational), counseling and guidance, social work or closely related area.

Responsibilities

  • Review and attest to the applicant's need for psychosocial rehabilitation services and medical and supportive activities to address recovery goals.
  • Assure that a statement authorizing the proposed psychosocial rehabilitation services is provided and filed in the consumer service record.
  • Provide feedback on the 30-day initial assessment and summary.
  • Review and sign all assessments and recovery plans.
  • CCS service staff availability for consultation 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday.
  • Attend CCS interdisciplinary recovery team meetings.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate service plans with recovery team and evaluate current DSM V diagnosis.
  • Provide clinical treatment psychotherapy to CCS consumers individually, in groups, and with families.
  • Coordinate resources to meet consumer needs as CCS Service Facilitator.
  • Consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in treatment.
  • Coordinate consumer crisis services; crisis services are provided by DHS 34 certified program.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respectful treatment of consumers.
  • Provide courtroom testimony as needed.
  • Complete orientation and regular clinical supervision; ongoing education and LEAN practices.
  • Adhere to NASW code of ethics in practice.

Education

Master's degree in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational) or closely related area
Advanced Practice Social Worker / Licensed Professional Counselor in Training / Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Training
Two years of post-bachelor work experience in psychology, counseling or social work

SALARY RANGE

$35.09 - $48.76

WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
  • Review and attest to the applicant's need for psychosocial rehabilitation services and medical and supportive activities to address the desired recovery goals.
  • Assure that a statement authorizing the proposed psychosocial rehabilitation services under the standards set forth is provided and filed in the consumer service record.
  • Provide feedback on the 30-day initial assessment and summary.
  • Review and sign all assessments and recovery plans.
  • MHP will be available to the service facilitators for consultation, staffing, and team/family meetings in the office Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Attend and participate in CCS interdisciplinary recovery team meetings.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate service plans with recovery team if assigned in a service facilitator role which also includes evaluating the current DSM V diagnosis.
  • Provide clinical treatment psychotherapy to CCS consumers on an individual, group and family basis.
  • Function as CCS Service Facilitator as assigned by CCS Supervisor and coordinate resources to meet specific consumer needs.
  • Consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination and involvement in treatment process.
  • Coordinate consumer's crisis services but not actually provide crisis services. Crisis services are provided by DHS 34 certified program.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client-related information, maintain respectful treatment of consumers.
  • Provide courtroom testimony as needed.
  • Complete orientation training as required and meet regularly for clinical supervision.
  • Maintain skills and competence levels as policies and regulations change, attend department/staff meetings/ trainings, and participate in continuing education training as required.
  • Adhere to approved social worker principles, methods, and practices, including the National Association of Social Worker's (NASW) code of ethics.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements
  1. 1. Graduation from a recognized college or university with a master's degree in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational,) counseling and guidance, social work or closely related area.
  2. 2. Candidates must have Advanced Practice Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor in Training, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Training, status as a minimum.
  3. 3. Two (2) years of post bachelor work experience in psychology (clinical, counseling, educational), counseling and guidance, social work or closely related area.
