Job summary

Core4ce is seeking an experienced Clinical Terminologist to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) under the IHT initiative. You will apply expertise in healthcare terminology, ontology development, and semantic interoperability to model and map data across enterprise systems.

You will develop terminology mappings to SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, and FHIR, design metadata structures, and collaborate with clinicians and informaticians to ensure accurate, standards-based data

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a related field with clinical informatics focus.
• Certification in Informatics is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical terminology management, semantic interoperability, or healthcare informatics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain clinical terminology mappings and information models for interoperability.
• Map concepts to SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, FHIR and other standards.
• Design metadata repositories, ontology models, and terminology services.
• Create domain-specific value sets aligned with standards and requirements.
• Collaborate with clinicians, informaticians, and business stakeholders to standardize data elements.
• Support semantic interoperability initiatives across complex healthcare environments.
• Validate mappings and data definitions for quality assurance.
