Job summary

ForTecMedical is seeking a Clinical Technology Specialist to lead the setup and operation of advanced surgical technologies, providing hands-on guidance to surgeons and staff and ensuring safe, effective use. Comprehensive training is offered to equip you for success in this role.

The position involves travel to healthcare facilities, performing preoperative checks, documentation, and equipment handling, with a focus on customer service and strong partner relations across the ForTec team and

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with early mornings, evening cases, and occasional weekend coverage or overnight travel.
• Professional demeanor and strong team-oriented mindset
• Basic computer/smartphone proficiency
• Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license with no major violations
• Ability to push, pull, and manipulate medical equipment over 50 pounds
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, sit, and stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate surgical technologies to provide technical equipment guidance as needed to surgeons and staff before and during surgery
• Perform preoperative checklists, sterilization, equipment calibrations, and complete necessary documentation
• Load and transport surgical technologies to healthcare facilities. Driving is an everyday responsibility of this role with occasional overnight travel; meals per diems and hotel will be provided per policy
• Practice safe vehicle operations, safe workplace practices, and laser safety techniques
• Meet customer needs, provide exceptional customer service, and foster strong, professional relationships with ForTec team members and healthcare partners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate surgical technologies to provide technical equipment guidance as needed to surgeons and staff before and during surgery
• Perform preoperative checklists, sterilization, equipment calibrations, and complete necessary documentation
• Load and transport surgical technologies to healthcare facilities. Driving is an everyday responsibility of this role with occasional overnight travel. When overnight travel is requiredgasoline, meal per diems, andthe hotel will be provided per the companyexpense policy.

Customer Credentialing Requirement

• Must be able to meet the credentialing requirements of assigned medical facilities, which include client-required immunizations (which may include the Covid-19 vaccine and flu vaccine) and may include health screenings, background checks, and passing drug screens (including marijuana/THC testing) as required for facility credentialing and permitted by applicable law

What You Need to Be Successful:

Preferred Background:

• If you have prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience, your background can provide a smooth transition into the clinical technology specialist role.
• If you have experience working long days, unpredictable schedules, early mornings, and are eager to learn, we will train you!

Wage Range:

• $25 - $28 an hourdepending on experience
