Job summary

ForTecMedical is seeking a Clinical Technology Specialist to support the use of advanced surgical technologies across operating rooms. The role includes comprehensive training and opportunities to grow within a mission-driven environment.

You will set up equipment, perform checklists, ensure safety and sterilization, and work closely with surgeons, staff, and healthcare partners while traveling as needed. This position is onsite in Jacksonville, FL.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with early mornings, evenings, and occasional overnight travel.
• Professional demeanor and strong team-oriented mindset.
• Must meet credentialing requirements, including immunizations.
• Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
• Valid U.S. driver's license with no major violations.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment over 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate surgical technologies, guiding surgeons and staff before and during procedures.
• Perform preoperative checklists, sterilization, calibrations, and complete documentation.
• Load and transport technologies to facilities; driving and occasional overnight travel are required.
• Maintain laser safety and safe workplace practices.
• Deliver excellent customer service and foster strong professional relationships.

Job Description

As a Clinical Technology Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful use of advanced, innovative surgical technologies. We offer comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and confidence to thrive in your role.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up and operate surgical technologies to provide technical equipment guidance as needed to surgeons and staff before and during surgery
• Perform preoperative checklists, sterilization, equipment calibrations, and complete necessary documentation
• Load and transport surgical technologies to healthcare facilities. Driving is an everyday responsibility of this role with occasional overnight travel
• Practice safe vehicle operations, safe workplace practices, and laser safety techniques
• Meet customer needs, provide exceptional customer service, and foster strong, professional relationships with both ForTec team members and healthcare partners

• Must be able to meet the credentialing requirements of assigned medical facilities, which include client-required immunizations
• Basic computer/smartphone proficiency
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license with no major violations
• Ability to push, pull, and manipulate medical equipment over 50 pounds
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, sit, and stand for long periods of time

Customer Credentialing Requirement

• Must be able to meet the credentialing requirements of assigned medical facilities, which include client-required immunizations (which may include the Covid-19 vaccine and flu vaccine) and may include health screenings, background checks, and passing drug screens (including marijuana/THC testing) as required for facility credentialing and permitted by applicable law.

• If you have experience working long days, unpredictable schedules, early mornings, and are eager to learn, we will train you!
