ForTec Medical in Hayward, CA is seeking a Clinical Technology Specialist to ensure the successful use of advanced surgical technologies. You will receive comprehensive training and work closely with surgeons and staff before and during procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with early mornings, evenings, weekends or overnight travel.
• Professional demeanor and strong team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to push, pull, and manipulate medical equipment and operate technology safely.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean record and ability to travel between sites.
• Ability to meet credentialing requirements including immunizations and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate surgical technologies and provide guidance to surgeons and staff.
• Perform preoperative checklists, sterilization, calibrations, and documentation.
• Transport technologies to facilities; driving and occasional overnight travel included.
• Adhere to safety practices and laser safety protocols.

Job Description

As aClinical Technology Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful use of advanced, innovative surgical technologies. We offer comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and confidence to thrive in your role.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate surgical technologies to provide technical equipment guidance as needed to surgeons and staff before and during surgery
• Perform preoperative checklists, sterilization, equipment calibrations, and complete necessary documentation
• Load and transport surgical technologies to healthcare facilities. Driving is an everyday responsibility of this role with occasional overnight travel. When overnight travel is requiredgasoline, meal per diems, andthe hotel will be provided per the companyexpense policy.
• Practice safe vehicle operations, safe workplace practices, and laser safety techniques
• Meet customer needs, provide exceptional customer service, and foster strong, professional relationships with both ForTec team members and healthcare partners

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with early mornings, evening cases,and occasional weekend coverage or overnight travel
• Professional demeanor and strong team-oriented mindset
• Basic computer/smartphone proficiency
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license with no major violations
• Ability to push, pull, and manipulate medical equipment over 50 pounds
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, sit, and stand for long periods of time

Customer Credentialing Requirement

• Must be able to meet the credentialing requirements of assigned medical facilities, which include client-required immunizations (which may include the Covid-19 vaccine and flu vaccine) and may include health screenings, background checks, and passing drug screens (including marijuana/THC testing) as required for facility credentialing and permitted by applicable law

What You Need to Be Successful:

• Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail

Preferred Background:

• If you have prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience, your background can provide a smooth transition into the clinical technology specialist role.
• If you have experience working long days, unpredictable schedules, early mornings, and are eager to learn, we will train you!

Wage Range:

• $28- $34 an hourdepending on experience
