Inova Fairfax Hospital - Observation is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 2 to join the team for night shifts (6 PM–6:30 AM) with rotating weekends and holidays. The role emphasizes direct patient care under supervision, teamwork, and professional conduct within Inova's renowned healthcare system.

You will participate in six weeks of paid training, including virtual orientations and on-unit shifts, and may take on additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's note: not required beyond HS diploma; BLS certification required or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

Clinical Technician 2- Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• Training: Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:
• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• Virtual training modules.
• On-unit shifts
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year working as a Clinical Technician; or completed an acute care clinical rotations, and actively enrolled in a nursing program
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American HeartAssociation, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
