Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, TX is seeking a Clinical Team Leader for the Operating Room. You will act as the charge nurse, provide direct patient care, and uphold a safe, therapeutic environment while guiding the OR team.

Required is a BSN, Texas RN license (or compact), completion of charge nurse training, and current certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP). Advanced specialty certification is encouraged.

Qualifications

• RN with BSN from an accredited program.
• Must complete charge nurse training within 90 days if externally hired.
• Current Texas RN license or compact license; active in good standing.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (as applicable).
• Advanced specialty certification (CCRN, CEN, RNC) or willing to obtain within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides front line leadership and decision-making for the OR staff.
• Develops staffing plans based on patient acuity and unit needs.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts staffing to support unit goals.
• Facilitates efficient patient flow and timely admissions/discharges.
• Assists manager with quality measures and department initiatives.
• Participates in peer interviews and performance feedback as needed.
• Supports incident investigations and other duties as assigned.

Your Job Requirements: • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing: BSN required • Completion of charge nurse training and competencies (if external hire, must complete within 90 days of hire). • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license • Clinical Course Certifications (Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardio Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, NRP, etc.) consistent with RN requirements for specific clinical area. • Advanced Specialty Certification or agreement to obtain within 2 years (CCRN, CEN, RNC, etc.) Your Job Responsibilities: • Provides front line leadership and decision-making for departmental staff, ensuring the quality and integrity of care delivered. • Develops plan for unit staffing based on patient acuity/care needs and oversees day to day operations on the designated shift. • Monitors workflow and adjusts staffing accordingly to support fiscal goals of the unit. • Coordinates and facilitates efficient patient flow for the unit.
