Job Description

In this role, the Clinical Support Specialist has the responsibility to work cooperatively with other administrative and clinical staff members to manage client communication and needs, whether on the phone or in person. This position ensures that all referrals are processed quickly and efficiently, and that appointment scheduling is efficient and accurate. This position provides prescriber support, as approved. This position has oversight of all processes involving client records from data entry to release of information to archiving.

Schedule Details

Monday through Thursday from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and Fridays 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Job Functions
  • Responsible for processing all new referrals and securing insurance eligibility verifications
  • Responsible for the transmittal of referral information to the appropriate person or service within the agency
  • Responsible for data entry of all referral information in electronic record
  • Responsible for scheduling all court-ordered evaluations
Minimum Requirements
Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

One year experience in a medical or mental health care office setting or other professional business office setting including customer service and data entry

Licensure/Certifications

None Required

Clearances

Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal clearance, and verification that the employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

Note

At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
