Position Summary
The Clinical Supervisor will oversee mental‑health outpatient treatment at a Sea Mar site, providing clinical supervision, direct services, and program coordination to therapists and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise mental health therapists, peer specialists, case managers, and program staff in all clinical and administrative aspects of their work.
- Provide clinical individual and group supervision, conduct intakes, assessments, and psychotherapy.
- Review and approve therapists’ clinical documentation in EPIC and ensure adherence to BHO, DBHR, and TJC requirements.
- Ensure staff meets weekly service hours, monthly productivity, caseload standards, and quality‑improvement reporting.
- Maintain client retention and treatment success through file reviews, corrective actions, and data accuracy in the regional system.
- Promote the program to community agencies, faith communities, social services, and other referral sources.
- Assist in managing inter‑agency referrals, participating in management meetings, and supporting the program manager.
- Provide outpatient evaluations, assessments, and culturally competent treatment across multiple modalities.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, sea mar patient‑centered model, and all health‑care policies.
- Perform all duties necessary to support high‑quality care and integration of primary, behavioral, and dental services.
- Prepare concise, complete consumer records and maintain documentation in line with WAC, county contracts, and Sea Mar policies.
Conditions of Employment
- Sign permanent confidentiality oath covering all patient information.
- Pass background check from DSHS and Washington State Patrol.
- Maintain no history of alcohol or drug misuse for three years preceding employment; no misuse during employment.
- Complete annual clinical competency test as a mental health therapist.
- Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain certification.
- Pass annual TB test and adhere to influenza vaccination requirements.
- Annual influenza vaccine required unless medically or religiously exempted; exempt individuals must wear a mask during flu season.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social science or social service field.
- Licensed or active Washington State Agency‑Affiliated Counselor License (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, or equivalent); if not licensed, hold an active mental health associate license with a pending license up to 60 days.
- At least five years of experience in mental‑health practice with some administrative exposure.
- Certification as an Ethnic Minority Mental Health Specialist and/or Child Mental Health Specialist preferred.
- Proficiency in working with Latino, migrant, seasonal farm worker, and homeless populations.
- Strong knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and ability to categorize age‑specific needs.
- Ability to write, read, interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, and to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
- Mathematical skills for calculating percentages, proportions, and basic algebra/geometry.
- Common‑sense reasoning, problem‑solving in standardized situations, and dealing with multiple concrete variables.
Other Requirements
- Must maintain confidentiality and comply with all ethical standards of Sea Mar and the Department of Health.
- Will work Monday‑Friday, 8AM to 5PM (40hours, full‑time) at Seattle BH (880114thAveS, Seattle, WA98108).
- Eligible for a salary of $80,168.40 per year.
