Job summary

San Dimas Community Hospital is actively seeking a Clinical Supervisor Nurse to oversee nursing staff during shifts, supporting the Director of Nursing in daily operations and ensuring efficient department performance.

The role includes direct patient care as needed, ongoing assessment of care plans, and guidance to staff to implement timely changes in the plan of care. A California RN license, relevant experience, and BLS are required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid California RN license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS (AHA or ARC) upon hire and maintain current; ACLS preferred.
• At least one year supervisory experience; long-term care supervision preferred.
• RN Charge Nurse experience preferred (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all staff on shift, under the Director of Nursing.
• Directly support daily unit operations, staffing, and resource management.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Continuously assess care plans and guide staff to adjust as required.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor Nurse is responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during their shift. Directly supervises and communicates with all staff along with the Director of Nursing. Assists the Director of Nursing in the daily operation of the unit, directing, supervising and evaluating personnel, ensuring the proper use of time, equipment and staff. Ensure the efficient functions of the department. Performs direct patient care, as needed, within the scope of practice. Continually assess care and directs staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• BLS (AHA or ARC) upon hire and maintain current; ACLS (AHA or ARC) preferred.
• At least one year experience preferred; supervisory experience in long term care setting preferred.
• At least two years of RN Charge Nurse experience preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $46.71 to $62.87. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
