Job summary

Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our acute care team. The RN will provide safe, competent nursing care in alignment with facility policies and philosophy, while offering leadership to the healthcare team and ensuring high-quality patient-centered care.

Requirements include Texas RN licensure (or compact), BLS/ACLS, and a BSN preferred; supervision experience is valued, with opportunities for ongoing education and career growth within a large regional

Qualifications

  • BSN preferred by RN licensure policy
  • Two years experience in acute care nursing; one year in charge nurse or supervisory role
  • Current RN licensure in Texas or a compact state
  • BLS and ACLS per RQI requirements (training provided during orientation)
  • Must maintain all proficiencies required by area of supervision (e.g., clinical competencies)
  • Clinical certification in area of supervision preferred (e.g., iCCRn, PCCN)

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:
  • Per RN licensure requirement, BSN preferred
  • Two years experience in acute care specialty nursing. One year charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred. Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervision.
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, or compact. BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare
    Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
  • Must maintain all proficiencies required by area of supervision.
  • Clinical certification in area of supervision preferred (i.CCRN, PCCN, etc.)
