Job summary

Center for Autism and Related Disorders, LLC seeks a Clinical Supervisor to oversee ABA treatment for multiple patients across CARD centers, homes, schools, and telehealth, ensuring high-quality care and ethical practice.

You will develop and monitor treatment plans, supervise behavior technicians, collect data, and collaborate with caregivers and payers to ensure progress and compliance in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis is required.
  • BACB Certification is required.
  • Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and auto insurance when necessary.
  • Must pass tuberculosis test.

As in all such agreements, it is subject to conditions and may require repayment if employment ends prematurely.POSITION OVERVIEW:The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes the assessment and analysis of the patient’s skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, overseeing the implementation of treatment, collaboration with and training of their patient’s caregivers, as well as ongoing coaching and training of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans are primarily designed to address areas of medical necessity and may occur in a variety of settings including the CARD center, patient’s home, school, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Uses clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patientDevelop and maintain treatment plansEnsure that all supervision hours are at 100% treatment adherence each monthEvaluate patients to identify both skill deficits and strengthsAnalyze challenging behaviors to identify the function of the behaviorDevelop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviorsObserve treatment implementation for potential program revisionsMonitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocolsDirect behavior technicians in the implementation of new or revised treatment protocolsProvides ongoing coaching and training to behavioral techniciansPrimarily works onsite to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observationSummarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress towards treatment goals and adjust treatment protocols based upon dataUpdate treatment plans at least once per month, based upon patient response to treatmentFulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of Supervisory hours and therapy hoursMaintain a caseload of a minimum of 10 patientsAccurately communicate treatment response to treatment stakeholders (i.e., caregivers, payers)Coordinate care with other professionals inside and outside of the organizationAdminister, complete, and score standardized assessmentsIncludes caregiver as a part of the treatment team, as evidenced by consistent Caregiver Collaboration meetingsInteracts with payors in a way that is collaborative, professional, thorough, and informativeEngages with payors as needed for funding meetings (i.e., IEP, peer reviews)Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellenceMaintains appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical recordCommunicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families and colleaguesProvide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families and colleaguesMaintain compliance with HIPAA requirements at all timesPartner consistently and effectively with other center and company leadershipAdhere to set work schedules, attend meetings, and meet deadlines consistentlyOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Master’s degree in Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis or related fieldCertification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification BoardExperience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)Reliable means of transportation with proof of auto insurance when necessaryMust pass tuberculosis testKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Empathetic and compassionate individual with the ability to maintain strict confidentialityAbility to work collaboratively with team members while maintaining positive and solution-focused attitudeAbility to work independently to problem solve and exercise clinical judgmentAn effective communicator in both verbal and written formatsDemonstrate excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environmentExcellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook; ability to use new computer systems and iPads.Desire to continuously learn and develop skillsetsDemonstrate knowledge of ABA treatment techniques and treatment program designs for children of varying skill levelsProven people-management skillsWilling and able to work in a variety of locations (center, patient home, etc.)Ability to work with a variety of patientsMust abide by BACB guidelines, rules, and regulationsProficiency in English, both written and verbalWORK ENVIRONMENT:Treatment may occur in a variety of settings including the patient’s home, the CARD center, the patient’s school, the community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors work in environments that are both indoors and outdoors and may move between different locations throughout the course of the workday. Treatment environments may be subject to loud or excessive noise at times.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Be able to work with patients and staff using assigned technology, including but not limited to computers, laptops, iPads, cameras, phones, etc.Be able to work with patients who are seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other home, school, community and clinic environmentsMove frequently throughout the therapeutic setting to gather materials, anticipate and respond to the movement of a patient, and/or provide instruction in a variety of settings, such as school, playground, clinic, or community locationsConstantly position oneself to participate and respond to the movements and behaviors of patients, including but not limited to bending to assist a patient, kneeling/crouching to teach a play skill, hurrying to block an open doorway, or reaching to prevent a patient from entering a traffic congested streetBe able to utilize continuous visual tracking in order to monitor the movement of patients, as well as the items and circumstances in the surrounding environmentOccasionally move to evade aggressive behaviors and/or physically block attempts to aggress towards others. Responding to behaviors may occasionally require bearing weight of a patient who is leaning, pushing, etc.Frequently teach patients to use vocal speech.
