Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to provide administrative leadership for the department, collaborate with the unit Director/Manager, and oversee staffing, training, and performance improvement initiatives. The role involves direct patient care as needed and ensuring efficient department operations.

The position requires an active RN license, BSN preferred, BLS and ACLS on hire, and at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience with 1 year in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nursing license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare, conduct, or oversee department orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally.
• Ensure quality of staff and functions during the shift and supervise personnel.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate personnel during daily operations.
• Ensure efficient department operations.
• Perform direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Continually assess care and direct staff to changes in the care plan.

In the absence of the unit Director and/or Manager, the Clinical Supervisor may assume the administrative scope of the unit assigned. Qualifications

Education, Experience, Training

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Facility / Unit Training

• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care.
• Non-OB Facilities – NRP Required 90 days after hire and maintained.
• Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $36.75 to $55.70.
