Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) Senior Living at Ideal in New York's Southern Tier seeks an experienced nursing leader to act on behalf of the Directors of Nursing and Nurse Managers, guiding operational decisions and care standards.

You will coach nursing staff, facilitate problem solving, and help ensure high-quality patient care in an evening shift with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with NYS RN license.
• Three years of progressive nursing experience.
• Preferred: BSN and supervisory experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Directors of Nursing and Nurse Managers to address nursing and operational issues.
• Provide guidance, direction, education, and support to nursing staff.
• Observe, assess, and evaluate the quality of patient care.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing

Three (3) years of progressive Nursing experience

Current New York State Registered Nurse License

Acts on behalf of the Directors of Nursing, Nurse Managers, and hospital administrators in dealing with Nursing and operational issues by facilitating communication and problem-solving and by providing guidance, direction, education, and support to the nursing employees while observing, assessing and evaluation the quality of care provided for patients. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Nursing Administration, UHS Senior Living at Ideal Primary Work Shift: Evening Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $40.87 - $62.19 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

• Minimum Required: A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Three (3) years of progressive Nursing experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing Previous supervisory experience in a hospital setting

License/Certification

• Minimum Required: Current New York State Registered Nurse License CPR within 3 months of hire
• Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty (Nursing Administration) ACLS certification
