Job summary

Sierra Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a dual clinical and managerial role in a bustling hospital environment. The RN provides direct and indirect patient care, participates in staff hiring and disciplinary actions, and collaborates with physicians and the Nurse Manager on patient condition updates and diagnostic results.

Ideal candidates will have BSN/ADN with RN licensure in Nevada, BLS/ACLS, and 3+ years of nursing experience. TNCC/ENPC preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred.
• Three years of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting.
• Perform disciplinary actions and participate in hiring/termination discussions as appropriate.
• Communicate with physicians, Nurse Manager, and coworkers about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.

Job summary

This position performs a dual function, clinical and managerial. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting, performs disciplinary actions, participates in hiring and termination of staff. Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR (both accomplished in partnership with patient inside room)


• Competent in the care of patients within the specialty area.


• Provides direct and indirect patient care as necessary, assessing current patient care situations, priorities and needs.


• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes:geriatric and the general patient population.
