Job summary

Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for an outpatient SUD program at MLK Behavioral Health Center in Los Angeles.

This full-time onsite role entails leading the clinical program, supervising counselors and case managers, and ensuring quality documentation in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will hold a CA-licensed LCSW, MFT, or LPCC, with a minimum of one year in substance use treatment and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate in social work, counseling, psychology, or social science.
• Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Science as LCSW, MFT, or LPCC.
• Minimum of one year experience in evaluating and/or treating persons with substance use; prior supervisory experience.
• Experience with ASAM assessment, SAPC guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admissions assessments and re-assessments as required.
• Provide individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as needed.
• Crisis intervention services, including 5150 determinations.
• Proper documentation in medical records of services rendered.
• Supervise counseling staff including interns; conduct evaluations.
• Participate in clinical and administrative committee meetings; outreach as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Director/Administration.

POSITION SUMMARY

Seeking a Clinical Supervisor for an Outpatient SUD program at the Martin Luther King Behavioral Health Center (MLK-BHC) in Los Angeles. Full Time onsite position that works with a team providing treatment services to those seeking recovery from SUD. Duties include management of clinical program, supervision of clinical staff (counselors and case managers), approval of documentation and administrative/management tasks. Knowledge of ASAM assessment, SAPC guidelines, and experience with Substance Use Disorders and dual diagnosis populations preferred. Must be licensed as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC. CATEGORIES OF DUTIES

Clinical Responsibilities shall include:

1. Conducting assessments of patients at the time of admission and re-assessments as required

2. Mental status examinations

3. Providing appropriate diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on a review of the patient’s history, signs and symptoms

4. Proper documentation in the medical record of services rendered

5. Individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy, as needed

6. Crisis intervention services, including 5150 determinations

7. Treatment planning

8. Participation in medical record reviews

9. Utilization review activities, as required

10. Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements (i.e., suspected abuse; Tarasoff), professional boundaries and related issues.

11. Other duties as assigned by Director/Administration

Supervision/Training shall include:

1. Providing supervision to counseling staff as deemed appropriate, including interns.

2. Conducting performance evaluations of interns or staff, as required.

3. In-service training to staff and/or trainees on mental health topics, as required.

Administrative duties shall include:

1. Attending clinical and administrative committee meetings, as requested.

2. Maintaining proper documentation, as necessary, of clinical supervision

3. Participating in community events, presentations, meetings, and outreach on behalf of TTC

4. Additional functions as specifically requested by the Clinical Director, Program Director and/or Administration

EDUCATION

A Masters or Doctorate degree in social work, counseling, psychology or social science. Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Science as an LCSW, MFT, or LPCC.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of one (1) year experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from substance abuse and/or dual diagnosis. Prior supervisory experience.
