Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic in Yakima, WA seeks a Clinical Supervisor II to oversee behavioral health staff, provide coaching and performance evaluations, and support program development. Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
• Two years of direct service experience in behavioral health with supervisory experience, or four years without supervisory experience.
• Must meet Washington State requirements for a Mental Health Professional designation.
• Licenses required: LMHC, LICSW, LASW, or LMFT.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise, coach, mentor, and train direct report staff. Provide continuous performance management and conduct employee performance evaluations in consultation with Human Resources. Address performance and/or behavior issues, clarifying expectations and providing feedback.
• Support staff growth and development. Assess the educational and experience needs of all levels of staff in collaboration with the individual. Encourage staff to seek educational opportunities incorporating job‑related training in addition to mandatory training.
• Review and monitor staff’s clinical records and productivity, and review counseling skills through chart review, direct observation, video, customer satisfaction surveys, and supervisory sessions.
• Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff. Provide orientation to outline job requirements and expectations, policies and procedures, and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Serve as liaison to numerous community agencies and organizations, including higher learning institutions, school districts, hospitals, law enforcement, Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) staff, and tribal authorities.
• Collaborate with Clinical or Program Director to coordinate contracts with community agencies and mental health specialist services with outside providers.
• Maintain current knowledge of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), developmental issues, therapeutic modalities, and community resources.
• Maintain limited direct patient care as needed including therapy, supportive counseling, and education to assigned individuals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Additional duties may be assigned depending on programs supervised:
• Assess training needs of BHS and CHS departments that meet academic and licensure requirements for identified students and staff.
• Develop training materials, teaching outlines, and methods for delivery for clinical staff and student interns as needed.
• Track the status of training programs and workforce resources. Present and report status to internal and external committees and audiences as requested.
• Occasional urgent coverage for other clinical supervisors or direct care staff, including consultations or calls with crisis workers or clients.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work. Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Counseling, Addiction, or related field may be accepted depending on programs supervised.
• Two years of direct service experience working in a behavioral health field, including two years of supervisory experience in any related setting. OR, four years of direct service experience in behavioral health field in lieu of supervisory experience.
• Must meet Washington State requirements for a Mental Health Professional designation.
• Must possess one of the following Washington State licenses upon hire:
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
• Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW)
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Mandatory Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days of hire.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must demonstrate ability to communicate at level 10 on the language proficiency scale to receive bilingual differential pay.
• Must possess knowledge of the current DSM, self‑report compulsory mandated self‑screening, the Revised Codes of Washington (RCWs) and Washington Administrative Codes (WACs), and the Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) as related to the provision of services.
• Must know culturally relevant resources for non‑English speaking consumers and Native American consumers.
• Must understand personnel and systems management approaches.
• Must understand therapeutic approaches to chemical abuse.
• Must be able to express ideas verbally and in writing in individual and group settings.
• Must possess effective presentation skills with groups of all sizes.
• Must be able to convey complex details in a simplified manner.
• Must know the child placement system.
• Must be able to coordinate with state social workers to meet treatment and placement needs of children in the program.
