Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Clinical Supervisor for the Emergency Department. This role combines direct patient care with department leadership to ensure high-quality, efficient care in a busy ED.

The supervisor will coordinate with physicians and nurse leadership, oversee bedside reporting using IMAP and SBAR, and guide staff through patient care planning across pediatric, geriatric and general populations.

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of practice.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
• Current TNCC and ENPC certification, preferred.
• Previous emergency department charge nurse experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR (both accomplished in partnership with patient inside room)
• Provides direct and indirect patient care as necessary, assessing current patient care situations, priorities and needs.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes: pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population.

Clinical Supervisor for the Emergency Department: Northern Nevada Medical Center is looking for a dynamic Clinical Supervisor for the Emergency Department! this person will have dual functions, clinical and managerial. You will provide direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting. You will communicate with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patent's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
