Job description

Clinical Supervisor - Behavioral Health - $100,000 + Benefits
In a world of noise, we find the signal — the pulse of potential. We weave the strands of talent, vision, and purpose into organizations that endure. Blending intelligence with intuition, we honor the human art of connection at the heart of every great company.

Southcentral Alaska | Onsite | Full-time or part-time | Open to candidates relocating from the Lower 48

About the Opportunity

We are partnered with a well-established Alaska nonprofit on a confidential search for a Clinical Supervisor at its behavioral health treatment center. This is the clinical backbone of the program: the licensed clinician who supervises the treatment team, holds the quality standard, and keeps a reduced caseload so they never lose touch with the work itself.

You will collaborate closely with the treatment center’s Administrator to make sure every client moves through a safe, empowering continuum of care, and you will report into a newly restructured clinical leadership team that is building, not maintaining. For a clinician who is ready to shape how a whole team practices, this is the seat.

About the Organization

The organization is one of the larger human services providers in its region, with a multi-decade history, a diversified base of public and private funding, and a broad portfolio of programs serving thousands of individuals and families each year. The treatment center addresses mental health and substance use disorders through evidence-based treatment, in the least restrictive environment possible, in collaborative partnership with clients.

The organization leads with empathy, autonomy, and psychological safety, integrates services so people get what they need without running a gauntlet, and keeps improving programs in ways that center humanity, dignity, and ethical practice. Wins are celebrated, creativity is encouraged, and staff feel trusted, respected, and safe.

What You Will Own

Clinical supervision and quality assurance for the behavioral health treatment team.

The clinical standard: how assessments, treatment plans, and documentation are done, and how evidence-based practices are delivered with fidelity.

A reduced clinical caseload of your own.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision
  • Provide individual and group clinical supervision to the treatment team, including clinicians working toward licensure.
  • Lead case consultation and treatment planning reviews; support staff through complex client situations, ethical questions, and crisis response.
  • Model and coach strengths-based, trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and restorative approaches across the team.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development of clinical staff in partnership with the Administrator.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Review clinical documentation for quality, timeliness, and compliance with licensing, accreditation, and Alaska Medicaid requirements.
  • Maintain fidelity to evidence-based treatment models and lead continuous improvement of clinical workflows and standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, in-service training, utilization review, and data reporting.
  • Serve as a resource on confidentiality regulations and ethical standards for the treatment team.
Direct Service
  • Carry a reduced caseload providing assessment, treatment planning, and therapy to children, youth, and adults with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Provide clinical coverage and crisis consultation as needed.
  • Partner with the Administrator on scheduling, productivity, access, and the day-to-day operation of the center.
  • Coordinate with the organization’s other programs so clients experience one integrated continuum of care rather than a set of separate doors.
Who We Are Looking For
  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health field (sociology, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, addiction studies, human services, or social work).
  • Appropriate Alaska licensure with supervision capabilities: LCSW, LPC, LMSW, or LBSW.
  • At least two years of mental health and substance use clinical experience with children, youth, and adults.
  • Eligible to enroll, or currently enrolled, as a provider in Alaska Medicaid.
  • Experience supervising clinicians, interns, or associate-level staff is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of evidence-based treatment for co-occurring disorders and of clinical documentation and billing standards.
  • A calm, approachable presence under pressure, and a genuine interest in developing other clinicians.
Why Alaska

This role is open to candidates relocating from the Lower 48 who are ready to live differently. Relocation assistance is not provided, but the math and the life both work in your favor.

  • No state income tax and no statewide sales tax, low property taxes, and the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend paid to every resident each year.
  • More house and more land for the money than any West Coast metro, in a growing community within commuting distance of Anchorage.
  • Mountains, glaciers, world-class fishing, and true wilderness within an hour of your front door.
  • A community where the work you do is visible and the organization you serve is woven into daily life.
Compensation and Benefits

Full-time salary of $100,000, with part-time arrangements available. A competitive benefits package includes:

  • Medical insurance with a choice of plans, including vision and hearing, with the organization covering the large majority of the premium.
  • Dental insurance with employer cost-sharing.
  • Over four weeks of paid time off to start, increasing with tenure, plus 11 paid holidays and 2 floating holidays.
  • Separate sick leave accrual.
  • Flexible scheduling and a family-oriented workplace.
  • Generous bereavement leave and paid jury duty leave.
  • Employer-paid life and AD&D insurance.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • 401(k) with employer match after the first year.
  • Professional development assistance, including tuition reimbursement, after six months.
  • Paid family leave of up to eight weeks after six months.
Base Compensation Range

$90,000 - $100,000 USD
