Job summary

Gateway Rehabilitation Center in Center Township, PA, is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead and mentor the inpatient SUD/Co-Occurring Disorders clinical team, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care and strong compliance across all clinical documentation and processes.

You will supervise therapy staff, review treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to uphold best practices, support therapists, and drive continuous quality improvement in a demanding inpatient setting.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree and active clinical licensure.
  • 3–5 years of clinical experience in SUD and/or co-occurring disorders.
  • Prior clinical supervision experience required.
  • Inpatient or residential setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly individual and monthly group clinical supervision to therapists.
  • Review, audit, and approve clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries).
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Provide clinical guidance and case consultation for complex cases.
  • Monitor therapist performance and provide feedback and professional development.
  • Collaborate with Program Clinical Manager for consistent feedback and expectations.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care.
  • Identify training needs and support clinical education initiatives.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  • Conduct weekly chart audits for therapists' caseloads.

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an excellent opportunity in Center Township, PA for a full-time Clinical Supervisor. In this leadership role, you will provide clinical supervision to therapy staff and ensure the quality, compliance, and effectiveness of clinical services within an inpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Co-Occurring Disorders treatment setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide weekly individual and monthly group clinical supervision to therapists, ensuring adherence to best practices in SUD and Co-Occurring Disorders treatment.
  • Review, audit, and approve clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards, including documentation quality, medical necessity, and timeliness.
  • Provide clinical guidance, case consultation, and support for complex or high-risk cases.
  • Monitor therapist performance and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the Program Clinical Manager to ensure consistency in therapeutic feedback and clinical expectations.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Identify training needs and support clinical education initiatives.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  • Conduct weekly chart audits for each therapist's caseload.
What You Bring
  • Strong knowledge of documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based treatment practices.
  • In-depth understanding of Substance Use Disorder and Co-Occurring Disorders treatment.

Requirements
What Do We Require?
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Active clinical licensure, such as LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three to five years of clinical experience in SUD and/or Co-Occurring Disorders treatment, preferably in an inpatient or residential setting.
  • Prior clinical supervision experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience conducting chart audits and utilization reviews.
  • Familiarity with ASAM Criteria and trauma-informed care practices.
  • Ability to balance administrative oversight with supportive clinical leadership.
  • Additional Requirements
  • Pass a PA Criminal Background Check.
  • Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
  • Pass a Drug Screen.
  • Complete a 2-Step TB Test.
