Job summary

Mindify Wellness and Care is seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for its therapist team in a hybrid role across New Jersey. The position supports quality, documentation, staffing, and compliance as the organization grows its behavioral health programs.

The role offers part-time or full-time scheduling, with periodic onsite NJ requirements and a path toward leadership as Mindify expands statewide.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in social work.
  • Active, unrestricted New Jersey LCSW license in good standing.
  • Minimum three years post-LCSW supervisory experience.
  • Ability to supervise LSWs and supervisees pursuing LPC/licensure.
  • CCS credential or equivalent for supervision of certain interns.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership to licensed clinicians.
  • Hold monthly departmental meetings and coaching on quality, documentation, and performance.
  • Monitor supervision agreements, logs, and evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, regulatory, and payer requirements.
  • Optimize schedules, coverage, and clinician utilization.

Mindify Wellness and Care is a growing behavioral health organization committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and accessible mental health services to individuals and families throughout New Jersey.

We provide outpatient therapy and psychiatric services through a flexible care model that is primarily remote, with select in-person services and community-based partnerships with adult day care centers across NJ.

As we continue to grow and scale, we are seeking an experienced, organized, and collaborativeClinicalSupervisorto strengthenclinicalquality, support therapist performance, and help build the systems needed for sustainable growth.

This position may beginpart-time or full-time, depending on the candidate’s availability and organizational needs. The role offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth, expanded responsibility, and future leadership as Mindify continues to develop itsclinicalprograms and statewide presence.

Position Overview

The ClinicalSupervisor will provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for Mindify’s therapist team. This person will help ensure that services are clinically sound, documentation is timely, staff is appropriately supported, schedules are optimized, and licensing and compliance requirements are consistently met.

This is ahybrid position. Most responsibilities may be completed remotely; however, periodic onsite availability in New Jersey is required for orientation, training, department meetings, staff support, quality initiatives, and other operational orclinicalneeds.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision and Team Leadership
  • Conduct regular individual and group supervision in accordance with New Jersey licensing-board requirements and each clinician’s scope of practice.
  • Provideclinicalconsultation and leadership to independently licensed therapists.
  • Hold monthlyclinicaldepartment meetings.
  • Coach therapists onclinicalquality, documentation, productivity, professional development, and performance expectations.
  • Maintain accurate supervision agreements, logs, evaluations, and other required records.
  • Support risk assessment, crisis consultation, ethical decision-making, and appropriate escalationofclinicalconcerns.
Documentation Compliance
  • Monitor progress-note completion and treatment-plan deadlines.
  • Work toward the organizational goal of closing at least98%ofclinicalnotes within 48 hoursof service.

  • Identify recurring documentation concerns and provide targeted coaching or corrective action.
Therapist Utilization
  • Monitor therapist productivity, caseload capacity, and schedule utilization.
  • Reduce unused appointment capacity and help therapists maintain appropriate caseloads.
  • Partner with scheduling and administrative staff to improve patient access.
  • Adjust schedules, templates, and coverage plans to support organizational utilization targets.
Quality Assurance
  • Complete monthly chart audits and document findings.
  • Ensure assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge documentation, and related records meetclinical, payer, legal, and organizational standards.
  • Address documentation deficiencies and monitor corrective action plans when needed.
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements toclinicalworkflows, policies, and training.
Compliance and Credentialing
  • Monitor therapist licenses, credentials, supervision eligibility, and renewal dates.
  • Ensure required training and competency requirements are completed within established timelines.
  • Promote compliance with company policies, professional ethics, payer requirements, HIPAA, and New Jerseyclinicaldocumentation standards.
  • Maintain readiness for internal reviews, payer audits, and regulatory inquiries.
Scheduling and Coverage
  • Ensure appropriate therapist coverage across programs and service locations.
  • Coordinate PTO, schedule changes, and coverage needs.
  • Minimize appointment cancellations caused by staffing gaps.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to respond to changes in patient demand.
Payroll Oversight
  • Review and approve therapist hours and payroll-related documentation.
  • Verify PTO, overtime, and fee-for-service payments, as applicable.
  • Resolve discrepancies and submit approvals on time with no preventable errors.
Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Review and screen qualified applicants.
  • Conductclinicalinterviews and participate in hiring decisions.
  • Lead or support onboarding, orientation, and role-specific training.
  • Confirm that required competencies and trainings are completed within established timelines.
  • Help build a strong, accountable, and supportiveclinicalculture.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in social work.
  • Active, unrestrictedNew Jersey LCSW licensein good standing.
  • At least three years of post-LCSW experience and completion of the New Jersey Board-requiredclinical-supervision education needed to supervise LSWs.
  • Qualification under current New Jersey rules to supervise LACs working toward LPC licensure, such as an ApprovedClinicalSupervisor credential or other Board-recognized equivalent, or the required graduate coursework inclinicalsupervision.
  • CurrentCertifiedClinicalSupervisor (CCS)credential from an ICRC member board if supervising alcohol and drug counselor interns or professionals working toward LCADC/CADC credentials.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide appropriate oversight or consultation, within legal scope, to a multidisciplinary team that may include LCSWs, LSWs, MSW-level staff or interns, LPCs, LACs, LCADCs, and other behavioral health professionals.
  • Clinical-supervision and behavioral-health leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge ofclinicaldocumentation, treatment planning, risk management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience reviewing charts, addressing performance concerns, and maintaining supervision records.
  • Strong organization, communication, judgment, and follow-through.
  • Comfort working in a growing organization where workflows and responsibilities may evolve.
  • Ability to attend periodic onsite meetings, training, and operational activities in New Jersey.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Dual licensure or advanced credentials in professional counseling or alcohol and drug counseling.
  • Experience supervising both social work and counseling professionals.
  • Experience in outpatient mental health, telehealth, psychiatry, community-based care, or integrated behavioral health.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems, payer audits, credentialing, utilization management, and multi-site operations.
  • Experience recruiting, onboarding, and managing therapist performance.
  • Bilingual or multilingual ability and experience serving culturally diverse communities.
Schedule and Work Arrangement
  • Part-time or full-time opportunity.
  • Primarily remote, with periodic onsite work required in New Jersey.
  • Schedule flexibility is available, although the supervisor must remain accessible during agreed-upon operating hours and for urgentclinicalconsultation.
  • The role may expand in scope as the organization grows.
Compensation
  • Part-time:$45–$60 per hour
  • Full-time:$80,000–$100,000 per year

Final compensation will be based on schedule, supervisory credentials, dual licensure, experience, leadership responsibilities, and the number and type of clinicians supervised.
