Qualifications

Clinic Supervisor – Outpatient Mental Health & Substance Use Services (LCSW Required) | Full-Time | Queens, NY

Location: Queens, NY Schedule: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week) | Day & Evening Hours

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Bleuler Psychotherapy Center is seeking an experienced Clinic Supervisor to provide clinical leadership, staff supervision, and operational oversight for our outpatient mental health and substance use treatment programs.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity requiring a New York State LCSW or LCSW-R, extensive knowledge of OMH Part 599 and OASAS regulations, and proven experience supervising clinical teams in a behavioral health setting. The Clinic Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring quality client care, regulatory compliance, staff development, program growth, and continuous quality improvement while supporting Bleuler’s mission of providing trauma-informed, person-centered services to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision to clinicians and interns, ensuring services are delivered in a professional, ethical, and recovery-oriented manner
  • Promote evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered care that supports client self-determination, choice, collaboration, and shared decision-making
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new clinical staff
  • Ensure clinicians and interns receive appropriate supervision, training, and professional development opportunities
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of clinical services through supervision, tracking systems, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and establish individualized professional development goals for staff under direct supervision
  • Address performance concerns through coaching, counseling, mentorship, and corrective action when necessary
  • Run, analyze, and utilize productivity, utilization, and performance reports to improve staff and program outcomes
  • Ensure clinical documentation is completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with OMH Part 599 regulations and OASAS billing requirements
  • Monitor clinician schedules and PTO requests to maintain adequate clinic coverage and client access to services
  • Provide crisis intervention support and participate in after-hours emergency phone coverage as needed
  • Conduct utilization reviews and monitor treatment services to ensure care remains clinically appropriate and client-centered
  • Review reports involving suspected abuse or neglect and ensure appropriate reporting, follow-up, and corrective actions are completed
  • Review incident reports, identify opportunities for risk reduction, and implement corrective measures when necessary
  • Communicate clinical, compliance, liability, and safety concerns to the Chief Operating Officer and Compliance Officer in a timely manner
  • Participate in management meetings, IRC committee meetings, and internal and external agency committees
  • Provide backup clinical coverage for absent clinicians, including group facilitation and direct client support
  • Manage a small caseload, as needed
  • Support program development initiatives, revenue monitoring, productivity goals, audit readiness, and implementation of new services
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and continuous quality improvement
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work and a valid NYS LCSW or LCSW-R license (required)
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience working with individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical supervisory experience in a behavioral health or outpatient setting
  • Experience serving children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and substance use treatment needs
  • Strong knowledge of OMH Part 599 regulations, OASAS Article 32 requirements, HIPAA, and behavioral health compliance standards
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, clinical reporting tools, and data-driven performance management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, internet applications, and electronic documentation systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, motivate, and develop clinical staff
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
